Proactive Services Team Lead (Cleaning and Trolley Collection) - Sydney Hills District Area
Here at Woolies, we have a team called Proactive Services that ensures trolleys are available to use and that our stores are in pristine condition - this enables our Customers (and your colleagues) to experience an environment that is hygienically clean to work and shop in. You’ll work side-by-side with your team whilst bringing a little good to everyone, every day.

2. Multi-Site role covering a group of stores
What this role does:
Reporting into the Facilities Manager, you’ll lead a group of Team Members (between 10-40 depending on store size) to deliver our trolley collection and cleaning services to a group of stores. You and the team will collect trolleys from specific locations along with completing the set daily tasks associated with the store cleaning and waste services. As the Team Lead, you’ll develop your leadership capability by delivering all the people-related activities for your team and partnering with multiple stakeholders to deliver exceptional services.
Other things you’ll do:
3. Act as a coach and mentor to your team and develop their skills across trolley collection, cleaning and waste support
4. Set the team's roster to ensure coverage of the daily tasks and operations list.
5. Work in partnership with the Store Leadership teams to understand any challenges, areas of opportunity and upcoming priorities
6. Interact with our Customers which may include showing them to the relevant shopping aisle or assisting in the clean-up of an accidental spill in an aisle
7. Liaise between Support Office, Store Leadership Teams, Team Members and Customers - excellent communication and interpersonal skills is a must!
What we are looking for:
It’s important to note that this is a physically demanding role that requires you to work in and outside of your store in different elements shop floor, fridges, freezers, carparks, etc) so it is essential that you are comfortable with these aspects of the role.
Ideally you’ll already have some form of supervisory or team leader experience, however if you’re an aspiring Team Leader we would very much encourage you to apply!
This role is all about developing your leadership skills and so you’ll have direct support from your Facilities Manager to help guide you as you develop this skill set.

9. Confidence to engage and partner with other Department Managers and the Store Leadership Team to plan and coordinate routines & timeframes
10. Organisational skills to ensure your team always has the equipment and consumables they need to work safely and efficiently
11. Ability to work a variety of shifts across your stores, including at least one early start, one late start, and one-weekend shift
12. Comfortable working with a regulated framework (Food Safety, industrial regulations, code of conducts etc)
13. A valid full Australian drivers licence, as some of our Woolworths Supermarkets will conduct vehicle street runs
When you will be needed:
This full time salaried role is best suited to an individual with flexible availability to work across early mornings, days, and late nights Monday to Sunday.
