Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Placement Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our Home Based Care Program, you will work collaboratively with vulnerable children and young people aged 0-18 years who are unable to live with their own families.
Our program provides high quality case management support to ensure desired outcomes are achieved in the context of the child or young person's needs and case plan. You will work closely with children, young people, their families, carers, and other stakeholders to provide ongoing training and supervision to caregivers.
As a Placement Support Worker, you will be responsible for supporting the development of positive relationships and environments within caregiving households. You will also actively contribute to the well-being and safety of the children and young people in our care.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide case management support to vulnerable children and young people
* Work collaboratively with children, young people, their families, carers, and other stakeholders
* Provide ongoing training and supervision to caregivers
* Support the development of positive relationships and environments within caregiving households
Requirements
* Bachelor qualifications in Social Work / Welfare or related field
* Current Victorian drivers licence
* Current First Aid and CPR certificates
* Demonstrated ability to provide safe environments for children and young people
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of issues surrounding out-of-home care
