About the role
Digital Experience is the community within AAD responsible for providing digital experience expertise and methodologies on digital strategic initiatives, legal service transformation capability to support practice and function digital innovation and digital change management and engagement to support the adoption and embedding of digital change initiatives. We are a supportive and tight knit team that is unafraid to push boundaries and deliver change.
After establishing the team in the UK, we are now building a research and design capability in APAC to continue our growth and are recruiting for a creative and collaborative UX/UI Designer in Sydney or Melbourne.
You will be responsible for designing and supporting the delivery of compelling, visually engaging, and delightful digital experiences for both clients and employees of Ashurst (by way of digital products and solutions) that encompass and enhance the Ashurst brand and ethos.

About you
* You bring solid UX/UI experience. You have a degree and 3-5 years' experience in a UX/UI role, either in-house or at an agency. You have a strong, shareable portfolio that shows your capability and growth as a designer.
* You're an expert with design tools. You're a fluid user of design software and prototyping tools—we use Figma. Experience designing for configurable platforms like Power Platform is a plus.
* You're comfortable in agile environments. You have experience working in agile product development teams and are fluent in tools like Miro, Azure DevOps, Confluence, and Jira.
* You communicate and collaborate well. You have strong communication skills and work effectively with cross-functional teams. A visual or graphic design background is desirable but not essential.
* You're hands-on and love to uplift others. You're passionate about getting your hands dirty, training up others in your discipline or advocating for design to non-designers and non-technical colleagues.
* You're curious and always learning. You're excited about innovation, digital transformation, and evolving design best practices.
* Bonus experience is a plus. Interest or experience in professional services, content design, legal design, or working in a start-up environment is desirable but not necessary.
