Softgoods Fabrication Specialist Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Softgoods Fabrication Specialist to join our Textile Centre of Excellence within our product design and engineering group. The successful candidate will develop textile solutions that enhance comfort, performance, and usability for people who rely on our products every day.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Design and fabricate softgoods concepts using fibers, yarns, fabrics, foams, and textile manufacturing methods (welding, bonding, taping, overmoulding, thermoforming, wrapping, etc.).
2. Develop and evaluate materials to meet comfort, aesthetic, quality, cost, and sustainability targets.
3. Collaborate with external vendors and manufacturing specialists to ensure materials and designs achieve performance and scalable production.
4. Advance softgoods manufacturing processes to ensure suitability for high-volume production and alignment with cost and quality requirements.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of textile manufacturing and softgoods integration methods. Proficiency in 3D CAD tools is also preferred. Experience working with global suppliers, integrators, and manufacturing partners is also advantageous.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Strong understanding of textile materials and manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in 3D CAD design software.
