APS6 Procurement Officer

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced APS6-level Procurement Officer to provide specialist procurement advisory and operational support within a Commonwealth Government environment.

In this role, you will provide accurate and timely procurement advice to internal stakeholders to ensure procurement activities comply with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act (PGPA Act) while delivering value for money.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide procurement advice and support to stakeholders across the organisation.
* Work with business areas to identify procurement needs and encourage early engagement to ensure effective and compliant procurement processes.
* Maintain procurement records in TechOne and BuyICT.
* Prepare and manage approaches to market, panel arrangements and reporting obligations in AusTender.
* Develop and maintain internal procurement documentation aligned with best practice.
* Support stakeholders in ensuring contracts are effectively managed and reported internally and externally.
* Provide contract management and supplier relationship support.
* Promote organisational values and contemporary people management principles including diversity, workplace health and safety, and collaborative work practices.
Required Experience
* Demonstrated experience using TechOne, AusTender and BuyICT.
* Experience working within Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and PGPA Act compliance frameworks.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and procurement advisory skills.
Highly Desirable
* Completion of, or progress towards, a Certificate IV or Diploma in Government Procurement and Contracting.
