Description:
Why the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a 1-3 PAE Lawyer to join our Perth team and contribute to our national practice. The role is primarily to support our sensitive claims team. Joining this team means stepping into a nationally recognised practice trusted to manage complex and sensitive institutional abuse claims across Australia. You will work closely with experienced practitioners who approach every matter with trauma‑informed care to minimise the adverse impacts on survivor/victims of child sexual abuse.
Our sensitive claims team focuses on building relationships with clients based on mutual respect, trust and honesty, as well as providing timely advice and guidance on each claim with a view to informal resolution where possible.
Following amendments to the law regarding time limits in historical claims, the sensitive claims team has had the opportunity to work on claims for a diverse client group with close regard to a changing legal landscape encompassing various areas of law.
Alongside dedicated work in sensitive claims, you will also have the opportunity to broaden your skillset across complementary areas including general insurance, professional indemnity and workplace. We have a great team of committed individuals who enjoy this challenging area of law and are looking for a like‑minded lawyer to join us.
Skills and Experiences:

* Experience in personal injuries claims is preferred.
* You have confidence, initiative and ambition.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills that are adaptable to the audience.
* Self-motivated and able to work at pace.
* Strong organisational skills to handle deadlines and stakeholders without compromising detail.
