To support the fast growth of our studio and media department, we are seeking a talented individual to join our diverse and creative team. Barista made coffee at the café down the road and Tuesday night feeds with UberEATS and frequent team-bonding activities outside of the office.
**The Opportunity**:
We seek a full-time highly motivated Communications Officer to support our fast-growing studios, this position is full-time and on-site with the possibility of a hybrid working environment. You will join a creative team that supports the UI/UX design, motion and graphic design, art and creative direction, and other marketing requirements of our fast-growing companies.
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer and Marketing Manager, you will utilise your extensive communications skills, experience and time management abilities to assist a busy department with all design and marketing requirements. The Communications Officer is primarily responsible for maintaining and improving the brand's reputation through content creation, such as publications, social media, website content, press releases, reports and other marketing materials where required. The ideal communications officer must have collaborative skills to work with management and other team members to implement campaigns and marketing strategies. When there are communication crises, a communications officer should be able to develop escalation protocols and manage conflict across the business.
**About You**:
We are looking to hire a dedicated Communications Officer to join our creative team. The communications officer will support our internal and external communications strategy, write and disseminate publicity material, respond to inquiries from the public and media and coordinate promotional events. To succeed as a communications officer, you should be able to think creatively, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A bachelor's degree with experience as a communications officer or equivalent experience in a similar role is strongly desired.
**Key Responsibilities Include (but not limited to)**:
- Collaborate with management and executives to develop and implement an effective communications strategy based on our target audience and brand.
- Plan, write, edit, and distribute all communication content and marketing campaigns, including but not limited to publications, press releases, website content, reporting, speeches, social media content and other marketing material that communicates the organisation's activities, products and/or services.
- Respond to media inquiries, arrange interviews, and act as a spokesperson for the organisation.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships and networks with journalists while maintaining a media database.
- Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the brand, and coordinate publicity events as required.
- Maintain records of media coverage and collate analytics and metrics
- Adequate understanding of social media platforms, their algorithm and advertisements strategies
- Ensure projects are completed at a high standard and on schedule to meet deadlines.
- Prioritise and manage multiple projects within specifications and restrictions.
- Attend team meetings, training sessions and events for ROR Studios and ROR Group
- Provide ad-hoc support to other departments as required.
- Contribute, where possible, with your skillset, knowledge, training, and experience (outside of communications) in a broader context across the creative team
- Be punctual and reliable, have a positive "can-do" attitude and work ethic, be flexible and adaptable, and work well independently and as part of a team.
- Use tools and software as pre-configured: MS Office, MS Project, Wrike, Simpro, Slack, Google Drive, Dropbox (Added Bonus: Adobe Creative Suite)
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years' relevant experience in a communications role
- Knowledge of desktop publishing software (InDesign/Photoshop).
- Proficient in the English language and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, content management systems, and social media platforms.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
