About the Role
Formed in 1882, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) is a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital and a principal provider of specialist healthcare. It remains one of the nation's most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities.
To provide high quality professional health care interpreting and/or translation services to facilitate communication between health care providers and patients in certified and/or assessed and approved language/s to support equity and access to health care services for patients/clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds or the Deaf community.

Ideal Candidate
* NAATI Certification when the language is certified by NAATI; or Recognition if certification is not available.
* Demonstrated capacity to interpret in a healthcare setting.
* Ability to identify and convey the social and cultural factors affecting health care to ensure high quality performance.
* Ability to identify ethical dilemmas and to deal with them in compliance with AUSIT Code of Ethics.
* Current NSW Driver's Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable) and willingness to travel.
