Job Title
We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Leader to join our team as a Junior Sous Chef.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and present high-quality meals that meet our culinary standards.
* Work collaboratively with the kitchen team, supervising and motivating members to achieve exceptional results.
* Assume key duties of other positions within the kitchen brigade, ensuring seamless operations.
* Maintain stock control through accurate record-keeping, monitoring wastage, and effective ordering/receiving procedures.
* Investigate and explain financial or stock discrepancies, providing solutions to improve efficiency.
* Receive goods in adherence to food safety standards, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
* Perform additional duties as requested by the Executive Chef/Chef in Charge.
Qualifications
* Hold relevant Certificate III Cookery qualifications.
* Adhere to Food Quality & Safety Control standards.
* Demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, with experience in leading and motivating a diverse team.
* Be able to work under pressure in a dynamic team environment.
* Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
