The key duties of the position include The Role Military Platform Integration (MPI) is a enabler for the delivery of Defence major platforms by ensuring integration with the Defence Single Information Environment (SIE). As Director of MPI you will: Provide programmatic leadership and management of multi-disciplined project teams and supervise and oversee all aspects of complex project delivery including finance, commercial, technical, risk, schedule and human resources. Be accountable for managing and leading a directorate, including providing clear and consistent communication, setting clear performance and behavioural standards, managing performance, delegating responsibility and guiding and developing people. Review established technical, operational, professional and administrative activities, procedures, practices and project management methodologies and advise on the development of project management best practice and Defence reform initiatives. Integrate risk, issue and opportunity management into planning, decision making and priority setting. Build and sustain a network of key stakeholders, communicate with influence and negotiate effectively. Engage and influence Defence senior leadership and provide key link between senior executives and Defence employees. Have knowledge and understanding of SAFe and waterfall project management frameworks and ITIL Have experience in applications and/or infrastructure project delivery in large, complex, enterprise level delivery. Have strong contract management experience. Have ability to form and sustain industry relationships. This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP).
