Business Analyst Role at Telstra Health

The Business Analyst plays an important role in assisting the Telstra Health Product Team to capture critical insights and support analysis to inform decision-making and optimise business processes.
Key Accountabilities & Outcomes
* Analysis and Recommendations:
o Assist with analysis of complex business problems and opportunities, providing insights and recommendations to support informed decision-making at senior and leadership levels.
o Assist with analysis and interpret data to provide actionable insights and recommendations, supporting data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
o Support project management activities by providing analysis and recommendations, contributing to project planning, execution, and evaluation.
* Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management:
o Participate in collaboration with stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and project objectives.
o Participate in and support the facilitation of workshops and meetings to elicit and validate business requirements, ensuring that all stakeholder needs are understood and addressed.
o Assist the Senior Business Analyst and Product Managers to manage relationships with external consultants and vendors, assisting with the delivery of services as per contractual obligations.
o Create detailed reports and documentation to communicate findings, recommendations, and project status to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
* Best Practice and Measuring Performance:
o Follow business protocols and procedures to align with industry standards and best practice.
o Provide support to develop and maintain business process models, feeding into areas for improvement and supporting with the implementation of solutions to enhance business efficiency and effectiveness.
o Stay current with industry trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to enhance business analysis techniques and methodologies.
About You
* Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
* Education, certifications or qualifications in Agile is desirable.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in a business analyst role, working on operational or new systems-based projects.
* Solid commercial background with experience working across a business's operations or IT systems.
* Strong analytical skills that drive a data-based approach to delivering and reporting on projects.
* Organisational skills that enable independent working and progressing project deliverables in isolation when required.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders of the organisation.
* Proven ability to work on projects that deliver outcomes.
* A strong desire to work as part of a strong team that flexes up and down to deliver excellent outcomes and drive projects forward.
* Experience with project management tools and software, such as Jira and MS Project.
