About The Role
We have a Permanent Full-Time opportunity for a Nurse Unit Manager, commencing in January.
This role oversees surgical admissions at Lenah Valley Hospital and Day Surgery while leading a team of dedicated and experienced nurses. The position also includes managing the Pre-Admission Clinic, Discharge Planner, and Cardiac Liaison Nurse teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Promote quality customer service and excellence in patient care
* Provide leadership and implement clinical and operational strategies in alignment with the local service plan
* Uphold and promote the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care Tasmania
* Manage human, material, and financial resources effectively
* Develop and advance the clinical specialty as a centre of excellence
What You Bring
* AHPRA Registration
* Recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting
* The ability to work independently, proficiently, and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
* Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
* A desire to join a team committed to the care of others within a mission-based organisation
