The Australian Frailty Network is seeking a proactive and experienced Clinical Research Associate to coordinate and manage the FITTEST study – a multi-site, investigator-led randomised controlled trial. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to contribute to a growing research portfolio that supports better outcomes for older Australians through evidence-based clinical trials. Key responsibilities will include: Lead the day-to-day operations of the FITTEST trial, including ethics and governance submissions, protocol development, and liaising with key stakeholders across research sites. Ensure all trial activities align with ICH Good Clinical Practice, the National Statement, and other regulatory and ethical standards. Maintain effective communication with trial collaborators, coordinating centres, and investigators; support participant recruitment strategies and reporting obligations. Support data collection, database development, and assist with clinical data analysis, reporting, and preparation of research outputs. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in conducting clinical trials in accordance with GCP guidelines and ethical standards in Australia. Strong understanding of regulatory and ethical requirements related to human research, including trial documentation and reporting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience drafting protocols, reports, and study documentation. High-level skills in using Microsoft Office and research databases, with a proven ability to manage competing deadlines and complex research tasks. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating initiative, problem-solving ability, and commitment to trial success.
