Multiple APS5 Actuary positions are available to work for a Federal Government Agency based in Richmond or Geelong.
The position is a 12-month contract role with the possibility of extension.
Candidates with 2-4 years of experience are preferred for this level position.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Extract, cleanse, and prepare data from multiple sources, especially the data warehouse, and advise on data checks for reasonableness.
- Develop and update regular performance monitoring reports.
- Support statutory requirements of the NDIS Act 2013, including data provision and analysis for reporting to the Board, Minister, and public sharing.
- Use statistical and mathematical modelling techniques for analytical tasks, including actuarial monitoring, data tabulations, scheme projects, and cost-benefit analyses.
- Design actuarial, statistical, and mathematical models to address business issues.
- Undertake ad hoc modelling requests and report production.
- Communicate work progress and outcomes effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Essential Criteria
- Relevant academic qualifications in Actuarial Studies or Mathematics/Statistics, progressing towards Associate and/or Fellowship qualifications.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience.
