Join us as we innovate, grow and shape the future of Utilities Operations & Maintenance.About the roleAs the Senior Estimator you will be responsible for providing estimating expertise for current tenders and proposals for transmission lines and substations projects, ensuring they are accurate and timely.The preference is for this role to be based in Sydney; however, we would consider Brisbane and Melbourne for the right candidate.Responsibilities Lead the proposal-specific estimating function for tenders, EOIs, and operational budgets, ensuring estimates are transparent, accurate, benchmarked, and compliant with all record-keeping requirements.Support and coordinate estimate inputs from proposal stakeholders, subject matter experts, vendors, subcontractors, and consultants.Develop and maintain accurate estimating databases and business analysis models, including competitor analysis and strategy documents.Ensure adherence to the company health and safety policy, and participate in Gate reviews, Project Reviews, and peer reviews as required.Support the proposal lead in pre-tender and post-tender pricing clarifications and submissions, and assist in the development of all suitable procedures, templates, and checklists for the Estimating function.About YouMinimum 5 years’ experience in civil and/or electrical estimating lead role, ideally within an engineering, project management, or infrastructure environment.Degree or Diploma in Engineering desirable.Demonstrated skills and experience in estimating packages—preferably Expert Estimator and/or CATS.Proficient skills in MS Word, Excel, and email.Awareness of AS 9001 quality systems.What we offerCompany paid Salary Continuance Insurance.Discounted private Health insurance.Dedicated wellness program & rewards.Exclusive staff discounts across various categories.Career pathways within UGL and the larger CIMIC Group.What makes you right for UGLGenuine concern for safety.Capacity to flourish in a high-performance environment.An innovative mindset and a willingness to challenge the norm.A belief that team success and value are realised when everyone plays a part.About UsUGL Pty Limited is a leading provider of end-to-end engineering, construction and maintenance services.
