**DESCRIPTION**
The Retail Store Assistant Manager embraces the company vision, mission, and values, working closely with the Store Manager to achieve maximum customer satisfaction, manage staff, and maintain company policies and procedures.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
1. Perform essential crew duties, including assisting customers, ringing up purchases, opening/closing the store, and receiving/stocking merchandise.
2. Monitor and assist other staff.
3. Protect company assets through loss prevention techniques.
4. Handle managerial tasks when the store manager is unavailable.
5. Assist the store manager with a variety of duties, which may include:
- Careful selection and training of staff.
- Supervising staff and preparing staffing schedules.
- Preparing documentation such as opening/closing reports and transfer forms.
- Maintaining the store as a clean, safe, and attractive environment.
- Maintaining stock levels.
- Monitoring maintenance needs.
- Assisting buyers with feedback and current trends.
6. Operate within KHK Inc. core values, mission, and purpose.
7. Other duties as assigned.
**SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS**
- 3+ years retail sales experience.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to communicate and relate positively with a variety of people.
- Self-starter with willingness to learn.
- Reliable, responsible, and trustworthy.
**WORKING CONDITIONS**
The work environment is mostly indoors in a climate-controlled setting, with occasional outdoor work dealing with natural elements. Noise levels are moderate. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.
**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**
Approximately one-third of the time involves climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Another one-third to two-thirds involves standing, walking, sitting, and reaching. About two-thirds of the time involves handling, feeling, talking, or hearing. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. Vision requirements include close, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Physical demands also include continuous computer, cash register, sales floor, event, and mail order work.
