We are looking for a seasoned Senior Structural Engineer to oversee the UK stage 1 structural engineering team. This high-profile position entails working closely with our partners in the United Kingdom, ensuring that we deliver top-notch results and expertise in building nuclear-powered submarines.
The selected candidate will reside, work, and receive extensive training in Barrow, UK, allowing them to acquire valuable knowledge in constructing nuclear-powered submarines. Upon completion of their deployment, they will return to South Australia to spearhead build activities at the Osborne Shipyard.
Key responsibilities include supporting the design and development of SSN-AUKUS structural systems. Additionally, the engineer will document and capture UK structural engineering best practices, tools, and lessons learned for future application in Australia.
