Good 2 Eat Catering is on the lookout for a talented, reliable Full-Time Sous Chef to join our growing off-site catering team.

About the Role
This is a hands-on role working between our commercial kitchen in Tanawha and off-site at events. No two weeks look the same. Some days are focused on prep and production, others are out in the field bringing events to life.
You’ll work closely with our Head Chef and production team and play a key role in leading the kitchen at off-site events.
This role suits a chef who enjoys being outdoors, working across different venues, and being part of a tight, respectful team.
Job Role:
Reporting to our head chef & planning with the production team
* Prepping and cooking in our commercial kitchen in Tanawha, Sunshine Coast Qld
* Assisting in event day execution and mobile kitchen setup
* Maintaining high standards of food quality, flavour, and presentation
* Working collaboratively with a passionate and multicultural team
* Keeping a Good workplace culture
* Leads the kitchen team at off-site events
* Helps pack equipment, ingredients, and tools for transport to venues.
* Ensures all food is transported safely and in compliance with food safety regulations .
* Assists with ordering and checking deliveries of fresh produce and ingredients.
* Manages stock levels and ensures minimal food waste.
* Be highly adaptable, as there are different venues, equipment, and conditions at each event.
* Be mobile, events might happen in remote areas or temporary kitchens (e.g., marquees, farms, or beachside).
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
* Has at least 2–3 years of experience in a leadership role in a commercial kitchen, catering experience is a bonus, but not necessary
* Brings creativity, consistency, and great time management
* Works well under pressure and can adapt on the fly
* Is available for flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
* Has a genuine passion for food and a strong team spirit
