These roles are ideal for professionals with a passion for strategic procurement, value for money program delivery, and commercial advisory in complex Commonwealth environments.Success in these positions means driving strategic outcomes for government clients, navigating procurement and investment approval frameworks with confidence, and engaging senior stakeholders to deliver value. You’ll be part of a trusted, embedded consulting team, helping shape major Defence and national security projects with national significance.We are hiring for multiple roles at senior levels, with varying requirements around clearance, location, and project focus.ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic advice and delivery support across the full procurement lifecycle, including planning, sourcing, negotiation, contract establishment, and ongoing management.Lead or contribute to complex procurement activities under Commonwealth frameworks (CPRs, PGPA Act), including within secure or classified environments.Drive Defence Investment Committee and Gateway process outcomes for major capability programs.Develop high-quality procurement documentation, contracts, reports, and briefings.Build strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to enable effective procurement and project outcomes.Interpret and apply Commonwealth policies, guidelines, and probity requirements to ensure compliance and value for money.Contribute to the growth of EMA’s commercial practice by mentoring others, supporting business development, or enhancing delivery frameworks.QualificationsWe are looking for professionals who bring:Demonstrated experience across the end-to-end procurement lifecycle in government, Defence, or secure environments.Experience managing or advising on complex programs, contract negotiations, and investment approval processes.A proactive, consultative approach with strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation capability, including with senior leaders.Knowledge of Commonwealth procurement frameworks and contract compliance.Ability to work independently in fast-paced and dynamic client environments.Active security clearance at NV1, NV2, or TSPV level (depending on role).Relevant qualifications or certifications in procurement, commercial law, project management, or business (highly regarded).Why EMA Advisory?EMA Advisory is a dynamic, high-performing small business that goes beyond the norm to deliver extraordinary outcomes for our clients.
