About the Role
This hands-on position plays a critical part in the safe movement, organisation and preparation of steel products through our galvanizing workflow. Working within a busy yard and plant environment, you will ensure materials are stored, handled and transported efficiently to support production throughput.
Key Responsibilities
* Safely operate forklifts to load, unload and transport steel products around the yard and plant
* Assist with pre- and post-galvanizing preparation, including sorting, staging, bundling and quality checks
* Maintain safe and organised yard areas, ensuring clear access and correct storage of incoming and outgoing materials
* Support truck loading/unloading and secure loads in line with load restraint requirements
* Work collaboratively with production, dispatch and customer service teams to meet daily throughput targets
* Conduct daily forklift pre-start checks and report hazards or maintenance issues
* Follow all WHS, environmental, and operational procedures within a galvanizing environment
About You
You take pride in safe, efficient work and enjoy being part of a team that keeps operations moving.
You will bring
* A valid forklift licence (LF)
* Experience handling steel, large assemblies, long loads or similar (preferred but not essential)
* Strong focus on safety, situational awareness and safe load handling
* Good communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Reliability, punctuality and a commitment to quality workmanship
* Ability to perform manual labour when required.

* Good communication skills to understand direction and instructions.
