**About the Role**:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Community Services Teacher to join our Human Services and Education department. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality vocational education, supporting student success, and engaging with industry to ensure contemporary and relevant learning experiences.
This casual teaching opportunity involves planning, delivering, and assessing Community Services programs, while fostering inclusive and safe learning environments. You'll also contribute to curriculum development, industry engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Melbourne Polytechnic's values.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Deliver engaging and inclusive teaching and assessment across Community Services programs
- Support students through pastoral care, learning plans, and tailored teaching strategies
- Collaborate with industry and stakeholders to maintain vocational currency
- Contribute to curriculum design, validation, and moderation
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with quality standards
- Mentor and support entry-level teachers and contribute to team-based program delivery
**Skills and Experience Required**:
- Relevant vocational qualifications and current industry experience
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122/TAE40116) or equivalent
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and inclusive teaching practices
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and student engagement skills
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to diverse learner needs
- Proficiency in digital tools and e-learning platforms
- Commitment to continuous improvement and compliance
**Additional Requirements**:
- A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- A National Police Check
