Working closely with the Program Senior Leadership Team, you will set and deliver strategic and operational goals that drive high-quality, consistent, and connected care across Acute and Urgent services. This includes ensuring safe clinical practices, effective workforce planning, and aligning day-to-day operations with CALHN’s long-term vision.

The Acute & Urgent Care Program at TQEH includes the Emergency Department, Acute Medical Unit (AMU) General Medicine and Geriatrics. The Acute & Urgent Care Program has a shared leadership model comprising a Program Director and Medical, Nursing and Allied Health Leads.

You will provide leadership to, and governance of, the medical workforce, clinical services, and education and research activities within the Program, while contributing as a valued member of CALHN’s Medical Leadership Team. In this capacity, you will influence medical workforce strategies and clinical activity more broadly across CALHN, offering expert advice to the Executive Team and shaping initiatives that strengthen performance, innovation, and patient outcomes.

- Proven leader with experience guiding multidisciplinary teams, driving service reform, and fostering collaboration to deliver safe, high-quality care.
- Strategic thinker with demonstrated success in clinical governance, financial management, and workforce planning, with the ability to influence change in complex systems.
- Strong communicator with highly developed interpersonal skills, able to build trust, resolve conflict, and maintain constructive relationships across diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledgeable and forward-looking, with a deep understanding of acute and urgent care models, public health systems, and contemporary service improvement frameworks.
