Janus Electric (ASX:JNS) is seeking a Management Accountant to join its team. This pivotal role will support Janus Electric's financial operations and is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial analysis and reporting to inform strategic decision-making, enhance operational efficiency, and promote long-term economic sustainability, whilst adhering to the financial requirements of an ASX-listed company. The position will be integral in ensuring compliance with ASX financial reporting obligations, corporate governance standards, and continuous disclosure requirements.
The successful candidate will assist in preparing financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards and ASIC requirements, contribute to investor reporting, and support audit processes. Additionally, the Management Accountant will collaborate with internal teams to prepare budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, and contribute to the development of internal controls and financial systems aligned with the regulatory expectations of a publicly listed company.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Reporting
* Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
* Analyse financial performance against key business metrics and provide variance analysis.
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Budgeting and Forecasting
* Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
* Monitor budget variances and provide management with actionable insights.
* Support department heads in budget planning and cost control initiatives.
Financial Analysis
* Conduct a thorough financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and operational decisions.
* Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as required.
* Identify trends, opportunities, and risks to guide management decisions.
Cost Management
* Monitor and analyse costs against budget and forecast.
* Work closely with operational teams to optimise cost efficiencies.
* Recommend cost-saving strategies and improvements in financial performance.
Financial Systems and Processes
* Maintain and enhance financial systems and reporting tools.
* Implement process improvements to streamline financial operations.
* Ensure data integrity and accuracy in financial reporting.
Compliance and Risk Management
* Assist in financial audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Identify financial risks and recommend mitigating controls.
* Maintain internal controls and contribute to risk management frameworks.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
* CPA, CA, or similar professional qualification preferred.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
* Proficiency in financial software and ERP software (Xero, etc.)
