PRIMARY DETAIL

Join our team and contribute to meaningful changes in healthcare by ensuring that the perspectives of people with intellectual disability are heard and valued.

• Salary Package: Level A academic appointment - from $109,272 to $117,108 p.a. (Steps 6–8, PhD awarded rate)

• Appointment Type: Full-time, fixed-term position for 1 year (with possibility of extension)

• Location: Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences, Macquarie University (Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde)

Be part of a passionate team that brings together healthcare consumers, clinicians, and health and medical researchers to improve healthcare for and with people with intellectual disability.

In this role, you will apply implementation science methods to explore the use of patient-reported experience measures by people with intellectual disability and their clinicians through multi-site health services research.

Your work will support the advancement of healthcare practices and ensure patient experiences are effectively integrated into care delivery.

The Role

We are looking for a full time, fixed-term Postdoctoral Researcher (Level A) to work within our team.

The position will work with our expert collaborators to bring the evidence base up to date, coordinate the co-design and development of resource materials, pilot and refine the PREM resources, roll-out the PREM resources as part of a demonstration program, assist with evaluation of implementation fidelity and quality improvement project outcomes, and develop and promulgate tools for PREM scaling.

The Implementation Scientist will work with expert advisory groups including consumer representatives, and when studying and implementing interventions, will work closely with participating Local Health Districts and health agencies.

The Implementation Scientist will also work with the project’s mixed-methods researchers to better understand the implementation context, and the project’s health economist to measure costs and benefits associated with PREMs implementation.
