Position: Senior Environmental Planner
Location: WA, Perth
Salary: 100K - 130K + Super
About the Role: As a Senior Environmental Planner, you will play a key role in managing and overseeing environmental planning projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and integrating sustainable practices into development projects. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, policymakers, and stakeholders, to assess environmental impacts and develop strategic solutions that align with environmental regulations and sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver high-quality environmental planning consultancy services to clients across various sectors.
2. Build and sustain strong client relationships by providing expert advice and excellent customer service.
3. Oversee and lead environmental planning projects from inception to completion, ensuring successful delivery and client satisfaction.
4. Ensure that all projects align with regulatory requirements, environmental policies, and compliance culture.
5. Conduct project reviews and approvals, ensuring high-quality environmental assessments and solutions.
6. Guide and support project team members, fostering a collaborative, positive, and encouraging work atmosphere.
7. Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for junior staff.
8. Manage both people and projects, balancing leadership responsibilities with technical expertise.
9. Ensure adherence to environmental regulations, legislation, and best practices.
10. Assist in the development of strategic environmental impact assessments, sustainability frameworks, and land-use planning policies.

Key Criteria:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Zoology or Botany
* Experience in environmental planning, regulatory approvals, or environmental consultancy.
* Membership or eligibility for professional accreditation (e.g., EIANZ, AICP, RPIA).
* Familiarity with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) frameworks and sustainability reporting is a plus.
* Must have strong leadership skills with the ability to thrive in a cohesive and high-performing team environment
* A valid driver’s license with ability to obtain police and medical clearance.
