About the Role
As Head Baker, you will be responsible for overseeing daily production, leading and developing the baking team, maintaining high product standards, and implementing efficient systems to support business growth. You will play a key role in shaping new products and recipes, improving processes, and strengthening our brand.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the baking and production team with a positive, hands‐on approach
* Drive creativity through product development, recipes, research seasonal ranges, and innovation
* Maintain exceptional quality, consistency, and food safety standards
* Develop and improve production systems, workflows, and documentation
* Plan rosters, manage labour, and support staff performance and training
* Oversee ordering, stock control, and waste management
* Collaborate with management on business growth and operational strategy
About You
* Proven experience as a Head Baker, Senior Baker, or similar leadership role
* Strong creative flair with a passion for product development
* Excellent people management and communication skills
* Highly organised, with a systems‐focused mindset
* Committed to quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement
* Able to work early mornings and in a fast‐paced environment
* Commercially minded, with an understanding of costs and productivity
