A well-established company with a national footprint is seeking a highly capable Payroll Officer to manage end-to-end payroll across Australia and New Zealand. Your new role
Reporting to the Regional HR Manager, you will be responsible for the complete payroll function across ANZ. Key responsibilities include:
* End-to-end processing of fortnightly and monthly payroll
* Managing third-party payments including Superannuation, Payroll Tax, Workcover and PAYG
* Maintaining accurate and confidential payroll records
* Acting as the 'superuser' for Employment Hero payroll system
* Preparing payroll reports and reconciliations (month-end/year-end)
* Interpreting awards and industrial instruments
* Managing payroll queries via shared inbox
* Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies
What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you will bring:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in payroll processing
* Strong working knowledge of payroll legislation and award interpretation
* Proven experience using Employment Hero (highly desirable)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level or higher)
* Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
* Clear and professional communication style
* Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
