Are you looking for a sea change? Alder is currently expanding our team in Ballina and we are looking to recruit an experienced Site Manager. Ballina Shire is located in the Northern Rivers region of NSW. It is home to some of the most beautiful uncrowded beaches and national parks and you'll find plenty of opportunities to get out and enjoy all things nature when you live in Ballina.
The successful candidate will be working on a diverse range of commercial construction projects ranging from $5m - $30m across Northern NSW This is a full-time position which requires a high calibre individual with a strong track record of On-Site experience.
About The Role
* Being part of our NNSW team, working on commercial construction projects between Ballina and Tweed Heads
* conducting site inspections to ensure quality and safety outcomes
* Be responsible for co-ordinating trades onsite
* Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to our high standards
* Co-ordinate the relationships between various trades and ensure that sub-contractors carry work out safely and efficiently
* Liaise with clients and stakeholders in a professional manner to maintain Alder's strong reputation
* Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to our high standards
* Participate in regular WHS inspections and injury/incident investigations and maintain a healthy and safe work environment
* Ensure environmental controls are suitable and implemented, monitored and reviewed.
* Review, understand and have input to all subcontractor and supplier scope of works.
* Organise completion of defect works in a timely manner.
* Participate in lesson learnt sessions to continuously improve the performance of the overall company team
About You - Skills And Experience
* 5+ years experience in a similar role
* Relevant trade background and competencies
* Excellent communication skills - both oral and written
* Willingness to lead and motivate team members
* A person who is enthusiastic, self-motivated and quality driven
* Be able to work collaboratively in a team environment
* Commitment and understanding of the importance of time and financial goals
* Good computer/ mobile device skills for daily use of Programs & Apps (e.g. Procore)
