The opportunity
As a Senior Recruitment Consultant in our Consulting Services division, you'll contribute to Peak Recruitment's strategic growth plan and run executive, senior professional and other targeted in-demand talent acquisition recruitment campaigns end to end—building trusted relationships with Mayors, Councillors, CEOs and senior officers across Queensland local government. You'll execute strategy, contribute to growth, deliver outstanding candidate care, and cement Peak's reputation as the sector's recruiter of choice.
What you'll be doing
Own the full recruitment lifecycle: scoping, briefing, search & attraction, assessment, client advisory, offer negotiation and post‐placement care.
Craft compelling collateral: targeted SEEK and LinkedIn ads and candidate briefing documents tailored to each assignment.
Shortlist and interview high calibre candidates; produce clear, evidence based reports and recommendations.
Grow and nurture portfolios: proactive business development with new and existing council clients; maintain warm talent pipelines.
Mentor within the team and contribute to a collaborative, high performance culture as we scale.
What you'll bring
Proven success with a minimum of 5 years in agency or in‐house recruitment (engineering, project management, capital projects, asset management, planning and controls, operations and maintenance, environment, safety, etc).
Outstanding stakeholder skills—credible with executives and elected members; adept at balancing pace with thoroughness.
Exceptional written communication and attention to detail; comfortable producing job briefs, ads and candidate reports.
Commercial acumen with a proactive approach to business development and portfolio growth.
Strong organisational discipline, ATS familiarity and solid MS Office skills. Degree qualifications are desirable.
