Biloela Hospital is a vital 24-bed facility providing diverse services from Emergency and Maternity to Palliative Care. Co-located with Banana Community Health, our service is a cornerstone of the Banana Shire, offering everything from Child Health to Cancer Care. We are a team defined by connection, working together to ensure our regional patients receive high-quality care close to home.
About the role:
* Provide daily clinical leadership and strategic direction to the Biloela Hospital Acute and Banana Community Health nursing teams.
* Maintain staff rosters using TrendCare and WorkBrain systems to ensure optimal service delivery.
* Lead the development and review of service profiles through the Business Planning Framework.
* Manage financial and human resource delegations with a focus on budget integrity and operational KPIs.
* Oversee auditing and data collection in alignment with National Standards and Central Queensland Health schedules.
* Foster a learning culture that promotes evidence-based models of care and professional development.
About you:
* You possess a Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) and current registration with the NMBA (AHPRA).
* You demonstrate advanced clinical leadership and the ability to make autonomous decisions within a multi-disciplinary team.
* You have experience in implementing and monitoring national quality standards and risk management frameworks.
* You are an expert communicator capable of negotiation and change management across diverse stakeholder groups.
* You bring high-level management experience, including budget oversight and operational planning.
* You are committed to patient safety and support a culture where staff feel empowered to speak up.
* You hold (or are highly regarded for) recent practice in acute nursing management and clinical competencies.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $169,138 p.a. is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $ $74.76 p.h.
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
