About the role

The Driver is the critical link between a Kennards Hire branch, our customers and their projects, big or small. The role involves ensuring our customers' jobs are easy through expert advice, pickups, deliveries and maintaining equipment readiness.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and demonstrate to customers how to safely use our equipment
• Perform pickup and delivery of equipment from customer sites, including safe loading and unloading
• Provide exceptional customer service in all interactions
• Maintain high standards and quality of equipment through regular servicing and minor repairs
• Perform cleaning of branch facilities and maintenance of equipment as required
• Conduct equipment 'check in' and 'check out' inspections

About you

• Background in customer service, building & construction, hospitality, retail, driving, landscaping, trade or maintenance
• Valid driver's licence (LR/MR licence preferred, however not essential)
• Availability to work half‐day Saturdays on a rotating roster
• Physical fitness for lifting, standing, and the ability to pass a drug test
• Strong communication skills
• Proactive and keen to learn new skills
• Interest in machinery and equipment, with training provided if necessary
• Positive attitude and team player
