Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate to join our Risk, Programs and Cyber Practice in Sydney, Canberra or Melbourne. In this role, you'll work closely with senior consultants and managers to deliver advisory and implementation support to public sector and for-purpose organisations seeking to improve health, safety and wellbeing outcomes.
You'll contribute to projects that enhance compliance with WHS legislation and psychosocial health regulations, while applying best practice frameworks such as ISO 45001 and ISO 45003. This role is ideal for someone with 2–3 years of experience who is ready to take the next step in their consulting career, gaining exposure to complex projects and building trusted client relationships.
Eligibility This position requires Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain Baseline Security Clearance to support work with Federal Government and Defence clients.
Key Responsibilities
Consulting and Advisory
* Support client engagements by assessing health, safety and wellbeing practices and identifying improvement opportunities.
* Assist in developing practical solutions and frameworks that integrate physical and psychological health and safety.
* Interpret and apply relevant legislation and regulatory guidance under supervision.
Program Design and Delivery
* Contribute to the design and delivery of tailored programs and training materials.
* Develop tools and resources that build client capability in hazard identification and risk management.
Compliance and Risk Management
* Conduct audits, risk assessments and incident reviews with guidance from senior team members.
* Support clients in meeting regulatory obligations and responding to authority inquiries.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Facilitate workshops and training sessions with client teams.
* Build strong working relationships internally and externally through collaboration and professionalism.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For
* 2–3 years' experience in Work Health and Safety, People and Culture, Risk Management, or Health, Safety & Wellbeing.
* Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health, Organisational Psychology, Safety Science, or similar.
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities across client projects.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desirable
* Familiarity with psychosocial risk management and WHS legislation.
* Exposure to ISO 45001 or ISO 45003 frameworks.
* Experience in facilitating workshops or training sessions.
