Department of Transport Maritime is establishing a pool of Senior Project Officers and Senior Project Coordinators for potential permanent and fixed-term opportunities in Maritime over the next 12 months.Department of Transport Maritime is delivering an increasing number of challenging and rewarding maritime and waterfront projects, with a need for experienced, passionate project managers to lead their planning and delivery.Current and future projects include technical advice to support the Swan River Ferry expansion project (being managed by Public Transport Authority), further planning for the Tantabiddi Boating Facility (Ningaloo Reef Tourism Hub), Hillarys Boat Harbour Activation Upgrades (including youth plaza and accessibility connections), and planning for major transformations of Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour and Hillarys Boat Harbour through implementation of aspirational masterplans.There are currently two (2) immediate vacancies, including:Senior Project Coordinator (ferry expansion program), 2 year fixed-term position, andSenior Project Officer (waterfront and maritime projects), fixed-term position finishing on 27 April 2029.To succeed in these roles, you will be a collaborative problem solver, able to manage complex projects and be capable of taking a lead role in engaging with internal and external stakeholders to progress project planning.Occasionally, you will be also required to travel intrastate and interstate for short periods and work in remote locations.For further information about the role and our projects, we encourage you to press "Apply" to review the attached JobsWA advert and Job Description Form (JDF).The successful applicant or applicants assessed as suitable through this process may receive further offers of employment (fixed term or permanent) in this or similar roles for a period of twelve (12) months from date of first appointment.
