About the role
Come and join our passionate team at The Gardeners Nursery in Anketell, Western Australia! We are seeking a Casual/ part tine or full time Retail Nursery Assistant to provide exceptional customer service and support the productive operations of our thriving nursery business. In this varied and hands-on role, you will play a crucial part in helping our customers find the perfect plants and gardening products to bring their outdoor spaces to life.
What you'll be doing
- Providing friendly and knowledgeable assistance to customers, advising on plant selection, care and use
- Maintaining neat, tidy and visually appealing displays of plants, flowers and garden products
- Assisting with receiving, unpacking and restocking of deliveries
- Helping with general nursery tasks such as watering, pruning and cleaning
- Accurately processing sales transactions and operating the point-of-sale system
- Contributing to a positive team environment and supporting your colleagues as needed
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service role, ideally within the gardening/horticulture industry
- Strong plant knowledge and a passion for providing exceptional customer service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse range of customers
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment
- Enthusiasm for gardening, plants and creating beautiful outdoor spaces
- Flexibility to work a range of casual/ part-time or full time shifts, (including saturday preferred.)
