About The Role
As a Residential Care Worker, you'll offer direct support, care, and guidance to Young People residing in our homes throughout Warrnambool. Our focus is on assisting young individuals who have faced trauma and may present with high and complex needs.
Hourly Rate: $34.46 to $40.05 based on SCHADS Award Level 2-3, dependent on qualification and experience.
This position involves strengthening rapport with residents by teaching life skills and supporting their social and emotional development. Daily activities may include cooking, taking residents to appointments or sports, school drop-offs, engaging in activities like fishing or arts and crafts, and relaxing with movies. Additionally, you'll handle household duties and complete daily case notes.
This dynamic role requires resilience, problem-solving skills, and dedication to making a difference. Availability to work a 24/7 roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, is essential.
You will receive support from a House Supervisor and a team of professionals, including Case Managers, Therapeutic Specialists, and Coordinators, to guide and assist you in your role.

Requirements
* Valid and Current Driver's Licence
* Valid and Current Workers With Children's Check
* Valid and Current NDIS Workers Screeners Check
* Satisfactory Criminal History Check
* A Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or similar relevant tertiary qualification.
* Knowledge of Aboriginal culture and awareness of issues faced by Aboriginal children and families.
Previous experience working with Young People is preferred but not mandatory; passionate individuals are encouraged to apply.
