Job Title: HSEQ Advisor - Safety Expert
This role requires a dedicated professional to ensure the upkeep of health, safety, and environmental compliances. The ideal candidate will have industry expert advice and provide comprehensive Workplace Health and Safety programs.
Duties:
* Provide legislative and regulatory guidance on all issues pertaining to health, safety, environment, and quality to uphold compliance with current QLD WHS legislation.
* Oversee day-to-day on-site safety processes and interact/communicate with other stakeholders and delegates as required.
* Ensure safety systems and software across the business are implemented properly, and delegates are utilising them efficiently to maintain system compliance.
* Provide industry expert advice on WHS objectives and strategies to project teams and implement changes if and when required.
* Provide training and development guidance to on-site teams.
* Promote and champion a strong safety culture within the workplace to improve HSEQ outcomes.
* Complete regular on-site inspections, manage risk assessments, and conduct audits to ensure a safe working environment and reduce potential risks.
* Investigate WHS incidents and implement appropriate actions to ensure non-recurrence.
* Conduct daily pre-start and toolbox talks.
* Document and report points of concern and implement appropriate actions to remediate said concerns.
Certification & Experience:
* A minimum of 5+ years of experience in HSEQ in mid-high rise construction.
* Previous experience with direct on-site safety management.
* Comprehensive understanding of WHS Legislation.
* Cert IV in WHS (Minimum).
* General Construction Induction 'White Card'.
* Full Working Rights within Australia.
* Incident Investigation Training.
