We are currently recruiting Package Specialist-Enterprise Asset Management AMS, ADF, ADB, DataStage, CDC, Azure SQL Database, Power BI, SAP BODS for a 15‐month fixed‐term contract, based in Melbourne.
This will be a Full‐Time FTH position with an estimated salary range of AUD 58,200 - AUD 89,500.
Your role and responsibilities
* Design and develop end-to-end ETL/ELT workflows to ingest, transform, and load large datasets for analytical and reporting needs.
* Implement and support Change Data Capture (CDC) processes to enable efficient and near real‐time data synchronization across systems.
* Develop, optimise, and maintain data pipelines, including performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting to ensure stability and reliability.
* Oversee the migration of on-premises data solutions to Azure Cloud, including the design of Azure Data Lakes, Azure Synapse Analytics, and the integration of Databricks for advanced analytics.
* Write and optimise complex queries, transformations, and stored procedures using Azure SQL Database.
* Contribute to automation of ETL workflows to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
* Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, and business teams to support delivery of data solutions aligned with requirements.
* Support deployment activities including testing, environment validation, and production release support.
* Ensure adherence to coding standards, data governance, security, and compliance requirements.
* Maintain technical documentation such as design notes, process flows, and operational support guides.
* Provide technical support and knowledge sharing within the team to ensure continuity and smooth operations.

Required technical and professional expertise
* 4+ years of experience in data engineering, data integration, and enterprise data platform development.
* Strong hands‐on experience with Azure Data Platform, including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks (ADB), Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL Database.
* Proven experience in ETL development and data integration tools such as SAP BODS and IBM DataStage, including end‐to‐end data pipeline implementation.
* Strong proficiency in SQL, T‐SQL, Python, and Unix/Linux shell scripting for data processing, automation, and transformation tasks.
* Experience in implementing Change Data Capture (CDC) solutions and working with large‐scale data ingestion and synchronization pipelines.
* Good understanding and hands‐on experience in data governance, data quality, data transformation, and data pipeline automation.
* Experience in building or supporting reporting solutions using Power BI is an added advantage.
* Strong problem‐solving skills with the ability to work on performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimisation of data workflows.
* Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross‐functional project environments.
