Senior Finance/Accounts Manager (Law Firm)

YOUR ROLE
In this autonomous, hands‐on role leadership role with the support of 2 experienced accounts officers, you will be responsible for the firm's entire accounting function. In particular, you will be overseeing/be responsible for:
* accounts payable/accounts receivable, bank and general ledger reconciliations, month end/EOFY reporting, trust accounting/controlled monies, cashflows, PAYG, BAS and GST, payroll, credit card transactions/reconciliations, petty cash and trust audits
* ensuring corporate governance compliance
* reviewing/documenting/improving accounting systems/processes
* mentoring/training staff

WHO YOU ARE
We are interested in hearing from you if you:
* Have a diploma/certificate/degree in accounting/bookkeeping
* have minimum 5-20+ years hands‐on experience as a bookkeeper/accountant
* have worked for a law firm/legal industry with trust accounting experience [essential]
* have used Affinity or Locus accounting software [preferable not essential] + have experience supervising staff [preferable]
* have strong numeracy skills+ accuracy+ keen eye for detail
* are efficient+ deadline-driven
* have proven ability to thrive in a busy multi‐tasking environment
* can commit LONG-TERM to a permanent full-time role
