Salary: $111,639 - $133,492 (Salary for HPO3: $111,639 - $120,057 (Plus 12% Super) Salary for P3: $123,014 - $133,492 (Plus 12% Super)) plus superannuation

About the Role:

Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) provides assessment and treatment for young people up to the age of 18 years who are experiencing moderate to severe mental health issues. This role will be based within CAMHS Acute Services, primarily Day Program which will offer short term intensive support to adolescents and their families/carers aged between years with mental health vulnerabilities who have had a recent mental health admission/presentation to The Canberra Hospital.

The Day Program will offer a mixture of group and individual interventions to support the young person and their families/carers during a period of high mental health acuity including therapeutic group sessions, individual key worker sessions, parent group session etc.

Please note prior to commencement successful candidates will be required to:

* Undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.
* Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to - Working with vulnerable people (WWVP) registration )
* Comply with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.
* Comply with CHS credentialing and scope of clinical practice requirements for allied health professionals.

Note: This role will be filled at either Health Professional Level 3 or Psychologist Level 3 depending on qualifications and experience, in line with the Enterprise Agreement.

Appointment to the position may be based on written application only. An order of merit may be established to fill future permanent and temporary vacancies at level, which may arise over the next 12 months.
