Lubrication Technician
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Lubrication Technician is responsible for hydrocarbon management within the fixed plant. This includes Master Lube Schedule development and the implementation of best practice storage, dispensing and analysis.
Key elements of the role are to carry out manual lubrication, maintain automatic grease systems, oil replenishment and oil sampling. Good hydrocarbon management is essential to achieving plant reliability and will be fully supported by the Condition Monitoring and Reliability team.
This is a permanent full‐time position operating on a FIFO 8:6 or 7:7 roster from Perth or DIDO from Port Hedland.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out manual grease lubrication of all rotating equipment
* Maintain and replenish automatic grease systems
* Carry out replenishment of all oil‐lubricated systems
* Take oil samples and send to laboratory for analysis
* Change out filters on air and oil systems
* Maintain CMMS (Pronto) database
* Manage stock levels in lubrication storage areas
* Installation and maintenance of grease lines
About You
* 2‐3 years of relevant experience in a similar role
* Practical knowledge of fixed‐plant equipment
* High level of attention to detail and disciplined approach to work
* Relevant trade qualification
* Preferred qualifications: MLA1 or MLA2
* Positive can‐do attitude, sound communication skills, ability to engage and influence multiple stakeholders
* Willingness to learn and improve
* Working knowledge of CMMS (Pronto or similar) desirable
* Working at heights competency
