Position
Fellow - Orthopaedic Surgery (Paediatrics)
Position Profile: The successful applicant will join a department of 14 orthopaedic surgeons and 9 junior/trainee medical staff, working at a level between senior trainee and junior consultant. They are expected to offer guidance to junior team members and participate in all department activities including teaching, audit, research and clinical care.
The Fellow will gain exposure to all aspects of paediatric orthopaedic surgery including, supervised trauma operating and fracture clinics and elective clinic and theatre exposure in foot and ankle, sports knee, limb deformity, DDH and hip preservation, cerebral palsy and neuromuscular, wrist, elbow and shoulder, spinal deformity and sarcoma.
Participation in a regular JMO on-call roster is optional, and the daily roster may be negotiated to prioritise specific areas of clinical interest or skill development.
