About us:
Rockhampton Hospital is a 305-bed facility and is the main referral hospital for Central Queensland (CQ), now providing integrated cancer care services in Central Queensland in the newly established building with state-of-the-art medical equipment. The other primary hospitals within the health service are Gladstone, Emerald, Yeppoon, and Biloela together with many smaller rural units transfer patients through to Rockhampton for specialist care and investigation.
About the role:
Provide direct, high-quality care to clients with infectious diseases (including HIV/AIDS, Hep B and C and Tuberculosis) in both acute and non-acute service settings.
The Infectious Diseases Physician role will work within an inter-professional Blood Borne Virus and Sexual Health service, Hospital in the Home (HiTH), Specialist Outpatient service and provide inpatient consultancy services at the Rockhampton Hospital and within CQ Health.
About you:
* Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
* Registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist in Infectious Diseases with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency. In general, this will require Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in the speciality of Infectious Diseases or support from the College for Staff Grade Infectious Diseases Physician status.
* Tertiary qualification in the Microbiology Pathology discipline (FRCPA, or equivalent) and be registerable with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Specialist Microbiologist.
* The incumbents must be Fellows of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia or equivalent.

Total remuneration value of up to $528,432 p.a. is comprised of:
* A salary rate between $251,527 - $266,677 p.a. (L25-L27)
* A salary rate between $210,332 - $244,313 p.a. (L18-L24)
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
