The Department
The valuations team is responsible for delivering accurate valuations and pricing. It is responsible for delivering those valuations accurately and in line with strategy. It utilises SAE Autovista's state of the art valuation methodology wherever available.
The valuation team are responsible for creating and providing the content for the output of products and services purchased by the customers. The valuations team are not a commercial team, they are focused purely on generating content relating to pricing and valuation of vehicles and their relationships with other functions within the group must be appropriate to the rigor required for them to do their job independently.
The Role
The Residual Value Analyst's main purpose is producing valuations for used vehicles as well as forecast values. The Residual Value Analyst is responsible for analysing the current vehicle market regarding used cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles and other vehicle types depending on the market.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Valuation Director through your line manager with implementing the strategy, framework, rules, and methodology for valuations.
* Operate within strict governance, following our policies and management instructions.
* Collaborate with the rest of the Valuation Team for continuous enhancement and development of valuation outputs.
* Ensure accurate and timely used valuations by reviewing, adjusting and completing SAE values, or using other methods where SAE is unavailable.
* Depending on asset type, ensure accurate and timely forecast values by reviewing current model behaviour, market trends, make/model strategy and adjusting values accordingly.
* Provide feedback on current methodology (esp. regarding the statistical model SAE to the Stat. team) and valuation systems.
* Attend events to gather market and product knowledge about new vehicles and share the knowledge with the rest of the team.
* Analyse new models, facelifts, and brands in detail to create an initial used valuation and forecast valuation if applicable.
* Use the accuracy of our valuations as one of the most important pillars of our activity.
* Contribute to regular market reviews/valuation policy meetings within the country, using available reports.
* Identify and track influence factors and trends in the automotive sector.
* Provide customer answers through CX and market insights via AV24, Autovista Intelligence or via webinars when called upon.
* Support the CTM team, when required.
* Support the workload of the country cluster, when required.
* Work as a member of a unified and efficient unit.
* Use the job description and goals, as clear guidance of daily role.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate has completed their school education and possesses solid MS Office skills, particularly in Excel, along with a strong affinity for IT. They demonstrate excellent command of the local language and good English skills, working in a structured, goal-oriented and analytical manner. They bring basic statistical knowledge and experience analysing large volumes of data using Business Intelligence tools, preferably Tableau. A good understanding of the automotive market and industry is required. The candidate should show team spirit, integrity, self-confidence and professionalism, and be willing to travel when needed.
