About the Role
Morgan Consulting has partnered with a well-established fresh food producer to appoint a results-driven sales professional.
The ideal candidate will sell products into grocery, wholesale, and food service markets, build long-term relationships, and grow revenue and market share.
Experience in the food industry is beneficial but not essential. What's more important is attitude and sales discipline.
This role involves:
* Sourcing new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and targeted outreach.
* Managing existing accounts to deliver exceptional service, increase range and volume, and meet or exceed sales targets.
* Negotiating pricing, delivery schedules, and contract terms that benefit both parties.
* Understanding customer needs and developing tailored solutions, including cage-free and free-range options.
* Tracking market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
* Collaborating closely with production and logistics teams to ensure accurate, on-time deliveries.
* Maintaining comprehensive records of calls, visits, pipeline, and forecasts in our CRM system.
Key Responsibilities
Our Business Development Manager will be responsible for:
* Benchmarking performance against established KPIs and metrics.
* Developing and implementing strategies to improve sales efficiency and productivity.
* Fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors, restaurants, wholesalers, and grocery banners.
* Providing regular updates on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity.
