About you:
For this position you will need to possess the following:
- A Bachelor of Business or Commerce degree is essential.
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a public practice firm or similar role.
- Excellent understanding of accounting and tax concepts.
- Experience with Xero and Class is preferable but not essential.
- Attention to detail and a pro-active approach to work.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- The ability to prioritise tasks and meet lodgement deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills.
About the role:
You will work with a varied portfolio of SME clients and the role would consist of the following:
- Preparing financial statements, tax returns, business activity statements and other compliance-related documentation for individuals, companies, trusts, superannuation funds and partnerships.
- Preparing management accounts and quarterly strategic business reviews.
- Liaise with various authorities for client matters, including the ATO and ASIC.
- Working closely with the Director, while providing advice to support business growth and financial success for our firm’s clients.
- Assist with managing and mentoring junior accounting and administration staff.
