Our products are formulated using locally sourced agricultural waste such as oat husks and sugarcane bagasse, addressing both pet welfare and sustainability. TF Pet Lab partners with breeders, veterinarians, and leading retailers such as Woolworths, Coles, Pet Circle and Cat by Dr Lisa.
Position Overview
The Product Examiner will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the external quality of cat litter products across our production lines. The role focuses on visual and structural inspection of finished goods to ensure consistency, presentation, and compliance with internal quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Examine clumping cat litter products for visible or structural defects, including shape consistency, moisture variation, and packaging integrity.
* Record and classify inspection results using internal QA documentation systems.
* Interpret product specifications and compare physical output against standards.
* Approve or reject batches based on appearance and conformity checks.
* Collaborate with production staff to rectify visible defects and prevent recurrence.
* Maintain calibration records for measuring tools used in physical inspection.
* Study product specifications and take measurements to determine conformity to specifications.
* Examine and mark output for visible defects such as cracks, holes and breakages.
* Make minor repairs and adjustments to products.
* Compile quality assurance reports, maintain documentation and report findings.
* Examine products for defects and grade produce.
* Designate grading of produce and record details of assessments according to classification system.
* Collect and label samples for inspection.
* Record details of sampling procedures and sources of samples.
* Prepare samples and carry out prescribed tests.
