Contract: Temporary full-time (6 months)
Rate: Up to approx. $130/hr + super (depending on experience)

We are seeking an AO8 Manager, Special Projects to support the implementation and delivery of priority initiatives through the Regional Collaborative Governance Model — a whole-of-government approach focused on improving outcomes for regional Queensland communities.
About the role
Reporting to the Director, Regional Collaboration, you will coordinate and facilitate priority special projects across Queensland, working closely with Regional Leadership Networks, agencies, and the Department of the Premier and Cabinet.
You will play a key role in ensuring projects are well-governed, effectively planned, and supported by strong stakeholder engagement, clear reporting, and consistent delivery frameworks.
Key responsibilities
Lead stakeholder engagement and partnership-building across agencies and levels of government
Establish and maintain project governance, templates, reporting frameworks and tools
Coordinate project meetings, action registers, reporting and communication materials
Provide high-quality briefs, reports and strategic advice on regional priorities
Identify barriers to collaboration and escalate appropriately through governance channels
About you
To be successful, you will bring demonstrated experience in:
Cross-agency collaboration and stakeholder management
Project management and governance in a Queensland Government environment
High-quality written communication (briefings, reports, executive updates)
Working on complex, place-based or regional initiatives
Managing sensitive information with strong privacy and confidentiality practices
Travel may be required (including occasional overnight stays).
