Marsh is seeking candidates for the position of Client Executive.

We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our Corporate and Commercial team at Marsh. This role will be based in Cairns. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

This role will suit an experienced insurance broker with 12 to 18 months experience managing an SME portfolio of business. This role will provide exposure to a diverse portfolio of risks participating in new business tenders and proposals building a network of opportunities and assisting with the placement of complex insurance programs.

Responsibilities

- Maintain a portfolio of key revenue-generating accounts while ensuring high-quality customer service.
- Develop, pursue and convert new business opportunities.
- Grow a commercial portfolio through new logo and organic expanded opportunities.
- Assist with the placement of complex insurance programs and new business providing valuable support to senior brokers and leadership.
- On‑board new clients and deliver on our value proposition.
- Develop and maintain meaningful working relationships with insurers.
- Plan and implement effective renewal and broking strategies.
- Ensure effective account retention and defense strategies are in place for all clients.
- Actively participate in claim‑related matters.

Qualifications

- 12 to 18 months broking experience.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously within a multi‑skilled team.
- Moderate knowledge of risks and insurance products for key industry sectors.
- Motivation to self‑start enhanced by time‑management skills.
- Capability to identify and address issues through innovative thinking.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft suite and demonstrated ability to learn systems quickly.
- Tier 1 Insurance Broking Qualifications or higher.
