Children’s Ground is a First Nations organisation committed to systems change to ensure dignity, justice, and equity for all children and families. Our approach is designed and delivered through First Nations leadership, focusing on national reform and innovative practices.
The Children’s Ground Approach is a whole-of-community, whole-of-life model that privileges First Nations knowledge and practices. Led by local expertise, we aim to create an integrated system centered on learning, development, and wellbeing, responding to children and families through key transition points from pre-birth to young adulthood.
Our approach recognizes the cultural, social, and economic strengths of our communities. Over a generation, we build on these to secure a future where children and grandchildren have the freedom, opportunity, and rights to their culture and identity.
Children’s Ground operates in Central Australia and across the Top End, with support from a Melbourne-based Shared Services team.
