Your New Role
As part of this role, you will lead production crews in a fast-paced coal mining environment, ensuring operations are safe, efficient, and effective. Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and supervising production crews to meet daily safety and production targets
* Promoting and enforcing the Site Safety Health Management System, environmental plans, and all statutory requirements
* Driving operational performance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
* Facilitating and participating in pre-start meetings and safety briefings
* Coaching, mentoring, and supporting high-performing teams
* Monitoring production outcomes and maintaining accurate operational records

What You’ll Need to Succeed
* Current Standard 11 and Mining Supervisor competencies (G1, G2, G8, G9)
* Proven leadership experience in an open-cut mining environment
* Strong understanding of WHS legislation and statutory obligations
* Flexible, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to adapt to change
* Excellent communication skills and experience mentoring and developing others
* Demonstrated commitment to safety with a record of positive safety outcomes
* Competent in Microsoft Office Suite
